Information Transmission Lines Quality Inspect Test Centre of M.I.I.T

The Information Transmission Lines Quality Inspect Test Center of Information Industry was established in 1988 , and was approved by the former the Ministry of Electronics Industry and established by No.23 Research Institute, the Ministry of Electronics Industry (now is No.23 Research Institute, CETC). It is a professional laboratory to carry out inspection and testing of electric wires and cables, optical fibers and fiber optic cables, connectors and assemblies, fiber optic devices and raw materials associated with optic and electric cables.

The Information Transmission Lines Quality Inspect Test Center of Information Industry established the laboratory quality management system according to GB 15481 and IEC 17025 standards, and passed the attestation by the China General Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision in June 1991, passed the laboratory confirmation by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) in Jan. 2001, and passed the laboratory confirmation of COSTIND in Apr.2006. The Information Transmission Lines Quality Inspect Test Center, M. I. I. is also the network entering identification organization for radio & TV equipment and materials which is confirmed by the State Administration of Radio Film and Television, and the inspection, quarantine, and testing organization confirmed by Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

Through the development for more than 20years the Information Transmission Lines Quality Inspect Test center of Information Industry now has become the professional testing laboratory specialized in the optic and electric cable products. It owns 20 senior engineers and engineers, and testing equipment with a value of more than 25 million Yuan RMB. The building area of the Testing center is more than 4500 m². Besides inspecting and testing products according to the national standards and industrial standards the laboratory is also able the carry out inspection and testing according to such international standards as ISO、IEC、ITU、EN、ASTM、ANSI/SCTE、DIN、AS.

The Inspection and testing items for the Information Transmission Lines Quality Inspect Test Center of Information Industry to carry out include: the measurement of optical and electrical performance parameters of various wire and cable products; physical and chemical tests such as combustion, fire resistance, oxygen index, halogen content, toxicity index, oxidative induction time; mechanical tests such as vibration, impact, extension and press, bending, torsion; environmental tests such as high and low temperature, humidity, salt spray, and RoHS detection.
